
Anan Wildlife Observatory is just a short boat ride out of Wrangell, Alaska. Anan Creek is one of my favorite spots to photograph black bears and coastal brown bears together. I was staying at the Anan cabin, which is a one-mile trail walk to the bear viewing platform run by the U.S. Forest Service. I was walking the trail by myself.
